ARTICLE ON SELF RELIANCE

Make Self - Reliance your target

Every man is the architect of his own fortune, so goes a time honoured maxim.
Self-reliance is the weapon of youth and the Armour of old age. To rely on someone means to trust and confide in him to depend rest and lean upon him. Self-reliance is the best Reliance because you are the only one, any day, whom you can constantly lean upon in every place situation and case. You can support yourself even when nobody else will.
The Idler earns but there is no food for him hard workers get their fill.(Proverbs 13:4))

Self-reliant person is always practical and realistic. He sees things as they are and faces them squarely. He is concerned with what can be done about others and difficulties and the best way to deal with everything that happens. Self Reliance leads to self sufficiency.
Richard Brandon in his Outwitting your Inferiority Complex says,
“The man who is self sufficient will not depend upon the good opinion of others. If he is liked, he will be glad of it; if he is not liked he will be content to go on living according to his principles. His will be no  placement sufficiency such as businessman might exhibit when things are going well with them , but rather the steadfast unperturbed assuming attitude which is hard to come by.”
Such a man is not able to find how much help he can get from others; he tries to see how much you can do by himself.
“Know your flock's condition well, take good care of your heads; since riches do not last for ever, wealth is not handed down from age to age. The grass once gone, the after growth appearing, the hay gathered in from the mountains, you should have lamps to cloth you, Goat’s to pay for your fields, goat’s milk sufficient to feel you and to provide for your serving girls.”- Proverbs 27:23-27
